Experiences and explorations

Shanda’s interest in bodywork began in an anatomy class in college. Curious about the inner workings of the human body, she decided to pursue this new passion, which has evolved into a dedicated lifelong study of the body and healing arts.

Since obtaining her massage license in 1999, Shanda has continued to explore a variety of modalities with numerous mentors, cutting-edge professors, doctors, and other bodywork therapists, all in an effort to bring greater balance and healing to her clients, both humans and horses.

Shanda reads the needs of each individual client and customizes the session by combining multiple skills and methods. By working to balance the nervous system and allow stored tension to release in the body, her unique and integrative approach ensures a deep change in the individual’s well-being.

Her journey with horses began at an equine therapy program where she first experienced a profound connection to horses. Connecting with horses through bodywork quickly became an interest that she continued to explore. From sound therapy to rehabilitation strategies, Shanda believes in working with horses on a deeply intuitive level, allowing any resistance to melt away and maximum healing to take place.
